The size and shape is somewhat reduced, which would make it easier to keep on the inside of a coat, as well as making it weigh less. There is no butt cap, and it is all brass mounted. There is an escutcheon on the wrist, which looks to have been monogrammed, but it is worn and cannot be quite read correctly. The lock
